Meet Luis Lopez, A Gun Violence Survivor
My Background
My name is Luis Lopez, a motivational speaker, CEO, and Founder of GOD GIVES BLESSINGS, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ending gun violence and all violence. As a person with a disability, reliable transportation can be a significant challenge, especially when it comes to commuting to and from work.
Unfortunately, my current vehicle is not wheelchair accessible, and I am finding it increasingly difficult to manage my daily commute. I have explored many transportation options, but they are either too expensive or not easily accessible.
I hope to raise funds to assist in purchasing a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, which will enable me to get to work safely, comfortably, and on time. Obtaining a wheelchair-accessible vehicle will also allow me to do more community outreach and gain greater independence in my daily life. We also use donated funds to help teach programming skills.

Combating Gun Violence
I was shot at 14 years old, and since then, I have been passionate about combating gun violence. I have gone through the agonizing struggles of survival while feeling unsafe. So, with a promise to prevent what happened to me, I am here to fight against gun violence and dedicate my time to helping others.
Various Programs
Violence and crime affect a community's economy, health, and potential growth. At God Gives Blessings, I host programs to reach out to the community of Brooklyn, NYC, to identify and tackle the root of the problem. Care, trust, and peace are the core values of my organization.
